Tulchan - Elegant, Countryside-Inspired Knitwear
Tulchan offers a variety of ranges which follow specific colour schemes and convey different messages. The Spring/Summer collection for 2010 follows five different themes: Summer Brights, Cottage Garden, Riverside, Country Meadow and Riviera. The Summer Brights collection echoes the hot summer sun with bright reds and oranges being the uniting colour scheme. The Cottage Garden collection combines pastels and floral embroidery to evoke the natural beauty encountered in a country garden. Similarly the Country Meadow collection and its elegant colours and hand-stitched embroidered motifs bring to mind the delicate freshness of the English countryside. Lastly the Riverside and Riviera collections call upon the inspiration of the river, with blue and white stripes, and bold reds taking precedence in the design.
The Autumn/Winter collection for 2010 follows four different themes: Midnight Jewel, Country Romance, Winter Weekend and Woodland Walks. The Midnight Jewel collection echoes the dark autumn and winter nights with a black, purple and magenta colour scheme with many of the pieces, including Tulchan’s characteristically intricate embroidery details. The Country Romance collection includes thick cable-knit jumpers, chunky cardigans and jumpers with original button detailing, all in deep, dark hues to reflect the change in season. Similarly, the Winter Weekend collection offers a variety of cosy styles for a weekend spent in the countryside, including waterfall cardigans and thick fleeces. Lastly, the Woodland Walks collection takes its inspiration from fabulous colours that you encounter on an brisk autumnal ramble – reds, brown and green hues with motifs of cascading leaves make for the ideal knitwear to keep out the cold.
