Hawick Knitwear is a knitting manufacturer born out of a heritage in Scottish knitwear that can be traced back to 1874, when its sister company Lyle & Scott was formed in the border town of Hawick.
Although the factory has changed greatly over the years, the basic principles of the very first hand-knitting machine remain at the heart of the modern day process. The company draws upon generations of skilled labour working some of today's most advanced knitting machinery to produce its characteristically soft and durable knitwear.
Knitting almost exclusively with natural fibres and specialising in cashmere, lambswool and cotton, the company's clients are international sports & fashion brands, and premium retailers from around the world.
- Hawick Knitwear offers a wide range of products from simple fabrics through to full intarsia and rib/cable garments for men and women. We can work to the client's unique design and specification or use our own in-house team to fulfil a market brief.
- The company works closely with a network of world class partners to bring innovation and new technologies to knitwear. We carry out garment processing on-site supported by our own technical and development team.
